I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Pat Tillman in person in 2002. I was working as a reporter for the Arizona Republic at the time, and I was assigned to cover a Cardinals game. Tillman was one of the most impressive people I have ever met. He was humble, thoughtful, and passionate about his country. I was immediately drawn to his story, and I have been following his legacy ever since.
In this book, I share my personal journey of learning more about Pat Tillman. I traveled to his hometown of San Jose, California, and I interviewed his family, friends, and teammates. I also visited the Pat Tillman Foundation, which was established in his honor to help veterans and their families.
Through my research, I have come to a deeper understanding of Pat Tillman's character and his motivations. He was a man who lived his life with purpose and passion. He was a true patriot who loved his country and was willing to sacrifice everything for it. His legacy is one of inspiration and sacrifice, and it is a reminder that we can all make a difference in the world.
I hope that this book will inspire you to learn more about Pat Tillman and his legacy. He is a true American hero, and his story is one that deserves to be told and retold for generations to come.
